The expedition
A country unlike anywhere else
Ethiopia keeps its own calendar and its own script, and its story reaches back to the very beginnings of humankind. Highlands break into dramatic escarpments, ancient churches are carved from living rock, markets overflow with colour, and animals found nowhere else on Earth roam the high plateaus. This is a journey for the curious — far from conventional tourism, close to the people and places that make Ethiopia extraordinary, and shared with a small group who want to see the world as it really is.
